I wished to write and thank you for the opportunity to accompany Virginia Larson on the Hollyford Walk which we did last week.

We were taken care of so professionally and warmly it made an unforgettable experience even more wonderful! I so enjoyed the experience of being in such a beautiful, special place, and all the Hollyford team played their parts in making the trip so delightful… Bard obviously is a national treasure with his laconic humour and wealth of knowledge coming from a passion for the environment which he shared with us extremely effectively. The other guide (Jase) was perfect in his support of the group and the lodge hosts were as warm and friendly as one could hope for.

I was particularly impressed with the multi-tasking abilities of all of them, switching from guiding and jetboat-driving to impeccable table waiting and expert cooking – and all with a ready smile and warmth that made us all feel very much at home. Obviously a lot of work and organizing goes on to make this all come together and appear so seamless and relaxed from the guests’ perspective.

Needless to say, I will be recommending this walk and your company most highly – my husband and I manage a number of short-term rental properties in Auckland and the Cook Islands where many of our guests are international visitors to New Zealand so I’m sure we’ll be sending a few your way next season …it is so much better to recommend from the basis of personal experience.
