The Hollyford Track is a guided walk beginning and ending at your choice of Queenstown or Te Anau and visiting the spectacular Fiordland National Park. Spend three days walking and jet-boating down the Hollyford Valley then fly through the famous Milford Sound to finally take a bus ride along the impressive Milford Road back to where you started.
The Hollyford Track Guided Walk takes you through inspiring scenery of snow-capped mountains and ancient native rainforests, past beautiful waterfalls, along pristine rivers and lakes out to the sea with sand dunes, reefs and the pounding surf of the rugged West Coast. This is a valley that has remained largely untouched for thousands of years and yet is steeped in history from the Maori and early pioneers.
Your guides will bring to life the diversity of landscapes, wildlife and vegetation through their expert interpretation and tell stories of the original Maori and early European pioneers. The maximum group size is 16 and you are accompanied by two guides to ensure an unrivalled level of individualised attention and interpretation.
Nights are spent in comfortable and well-appointed private lodges. Facilities include dining and lounge areas, open fires, drying rooms, separate flush toilet and shower facilities with unlimited hot water, soap, shampoo, towels and hair dryers. Bedrooms are twin share (double occupancy) with linen, duvets and hot water bottles provided.
All meals on the Hollyford Track are provided, from 3 course evening cuisine and cooked and/or continental breakfasts to wilderness lunches and a seemingly endless supply of treats from your guides along the way.
Your guided walk ends with a flight into the picturesque Milford Sound followed by a ride along the spectacular Milford Road with towering granite cliffs back to your choice of Queenstown or Te Anau.
