A journey of discovery from the Mountains to the Sea
Located in Fiordland National Park, the remote and spectacular Hollyford Valley is home to breath taking beech forest and a rich New Zealand history. Join us for a guided experience in this unique wilderness to explore the valley by foot, jetboat and helicopter. Along the way your experienced local guide will bring to life the diversity of the landscape, vegetation and wildlife as well as some colourful local legends.
The Hollyford Track in the Fiordland National Park is suitable for most ages (8+) and abilities. This track has no major climbs, so with some preparation, it’s very achievable.
Hiking in New Zealand is dictated by the weather, so choose your dates carefully. Hollyford Track operates from October to April. There are changes in the weather, wildlife and vegetation throughout the season.
You can choose to start your guided walk from either Queenstown or Te Anau. Whilst Queenstown is easier to travel directly to, Te Anau gives you an easier start to Day One.
Good preparation allows you to get so much more enjoyment out of this very achievable valley walk, regardless of age.
