Katharine Franey

My Job At Hollyford Track: Customer Services Manager

Background: Katharine is our Reservations & Office Manager, one of the many hard workers behind the scenes, keeping everything and everyone in check! She is the first point of contact with Hollyford Track, and is the one that makes sure that all of the details of your booking and trip are taken care of.

What I Do When I’m Not Walking The Hollyford Track: Katharine has worked in the tourism industry for 7 years, previously working for Franz Josef Glacier Guides and the Glacier Hot Pools on the West Coast. Katharine loves running, hiking, and cycling - everything that Queenstown has to offer.

Rachael Woodhead

My Job At Hollyford Track: Customer Services and Accounts Administrator

Background: Rachael works for both Guided Walks NZ and Hollyford Valley Walks. She's worked in Adventure tourism including being an ex Shotover Jet Boat Driver (very impressive Rachael)!

What I Do When I’m Not Walking The Hollyford Track: She loves the outdoors - walking, biking or just playing team sports.

Cameron Hall

My Job At Hollyford Track: Ops Assistant & Coach Driver

Background: After studying Adventure Tourism Cameron packed his bags and left home for the bright lights of Queenstown. Cameron landed his first job at a local ski shop and continued working there for eleven winters and rafting the summers on the Shotover River.

What I Do When I’m Not Walking The Hollyford Track: Cameron grew up on a farm in Southland, and this was where he first developed his love for the outdoors. He spent most of his time fishing and hunting, generally avoiding as much farm work as possible! Cameron is partially fond of endurance sports such as ultra marathons and Ironman Triathlons.

Graham Scott

My Job At Hollyford Track: Senior Wilderness Guide

Background: Graham grew up in the Central Southland farming community of Springhills and spent a good deal of time bounding around the hills, seeking adventure and manoeuvring himself into places his parents often cringed at. Graham decided to put his experience to use, and became a qualified Bush Instructor with the NZ Mountain Safety Council.

What I Do When I’m Not Walking The Hollyford Track: In his spare time, Graham enjoys studying and conversing with nature through trekking and sporting pursuits. He also captures images through photography; and plays a little guitar for relaxation!

Alex Solomon

My Job At Hollyford Track: 2nd Guide

Background: Alex is currently on an Internship with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu doing a placement with Hollyford Track. Alex is fluent in Te Reo Māori (The Māori language). He loves sharing his local cultural knowledge with our Manuhiri (guests). Prior to that, he attended Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Whānau Tahi (A Māori emersion school in Christchurch).

What I Do When I’m Not Walking The Hollyford Track: When Alex isn't working, he does a Māori martial art called Mau Rākau where he learns how to use the Taiaha and Patu. He also enjoys going to the gym and hanging out with mates in his spare time.

Fiona Bersani

My Job At Hollyford Track: Reservations / Ratoka Kiritaki

Background: Fiona comes from hospitality background including owning her own cafes and accommodation!

What I Do When I’m Not Walking The Hollyford Track: In her downtime, she loves walking the dog, yoga, bike and ski along with more passive activities like movies and wine! She also runs an accommodation business in Queenstown – such a busy life!
