There is so much to explore in Fiordland National Park, at 1.2 million hectares in size, it is a true paradise for nature lovers.
At the end of the Hollyford Wilderness Experience, your scenic helicopter flight will land at the Milford Sound airport where a private coach will be waiting to drive Hollyford guests back to Queenstown via Te Anau. However, for those visitors with time to spare, it is the perfect opportunity to add on another trip which highlights even more of the spectacular landscape, be it by boat, aeroplane or helicopter.
How to Book
If you are yet to book your Hollyford Wilderness Experience, you will be given the option to select an add on tour as part of the booking process. For guests who have already booked their place on the Hollyford Wilderness Experience, you will need to get in touch with our reservations team via phone or email to reserve your place on an add on tour.
Please note, payment for the Milford Sound Overnight Cruise is due at the same time as the Hollyford Wilderness Experience final payment. Payment for all other options is due on the day of travel.

The Milford Sound Overnight Cruise
An overnight cruise is a fantastic way to end your Hollyford Wilderness Experience. Upon disembarking the helicopter in Milford (from Martins Bay), you will be escorted by a guide to the Realnz Visitor Terminal to board your cruise ship.
Relax and cruise onboard the purpose-built boat, getting up close and personal with the local marine life in Milford Sound. While cruising through the fiord, you are accompanied by a specialist nature guide who provides commentary about the impressive waterfalls, rainforest and local wildlife.
After anchoring in a sheltered cove, you can choose to explore the fiord by kayak or on a small boat with a guide. A delicious carvery buffet is served on board in the evening, followed by the opportunity to enjoy stargazing and story sharing with fellow guests.
Spend the night aboard sleeping in your private cabin, with options available for single rooms, twin share or quad share. In the morning, your boat will head out to the Tasman Sea (weather permitting) before exploring more of the fiord and heading back to Milford Sound wharf.

Scenic Helicopter Flight to Queenstown
Finish off your first-class Hollyford experience in style! Instead of driving back to Queenstown (via Te Anau) aboard our private coach, you can opt to return by taking a second scenic helicopter flight.
Travelling with Milford Helicopters, you will get a birds eye view of even more of the incredible Milford Sound as your expert pilot provides a light commentary of the landmarks along the way. You will make a special stop en-route for a remote wilderness landing to take in the surroundings and reflect on your Hollyford journey.
The photo opportunities continue across the pristine Lake Wakatipu, with an outstanding view to the iconic Remarkables mountain range, before you land at the Queenstown Airport. A transfer via taxi will be arranged to your accommodation.

Scenic Aeroplane Flight to Queenstown
Along your Hollyford Wilderness Experience, you will travel by coach, jet boat and even helicopter, so it makes sense to tick off another mode of transport for the return journey home!

Travelling with Milford Sound Scenic Flights, you will soar high above the majestic fiord, for a chance to see more of Mitre Peak, the cascading waterfalls and granite cliffs. Your pilot will point out the various mountain ranges, landmarks, beech forests before you fly over the iconic Lake Wakatipu and land at Queenstown Airport.

Cruise and Scenic Flight to Queenstown
Can’t decide between taking the additional scenic flight home or the boat cruise? Choose both with the cruise and fly package!
Explore the picturesque Milford Sound by boat, experiencing the local wildlife and native forest from the water. When opting for the cruise and fly package, you will be taken on a relaxing 2 hour boat cruise beyond Mitre Peak, exploring hidden bays and waterfalls along the way. Upon returning to the wharf, you will be transported to your awaiting fixed wing aeroplane with expert local pilot ready to show you the sights.
Travelling with Milford Sound Scenic Flights back to Queenstown airport, you will be treated to a stunning journey with more breathtaking views of Milford Sound, crossing over the rugged Southern Alps and pristine Lake Wakatipu.
